Well, since the beginning of the year, I’ve been struggling with whether I want to do yet another graphic novel in the Occultation universe or not. After finishing the Kickstarter for all three, I know one thing for sure, I will not be doing another Kickstarter. So that leaves me with how I will be handling the NMO story. Turns out, I think it’s better if I don’t publish this novel through Kickstarter. If I do The NMO: Another Occultation Story, I will want to do it as it was intended.
You might be wondering what that means. Well, I mean that I would want to do it without the worry of people being offended or attacking me for telling a story. So I decided that The NMO: Another Occultation Story will be PDF only. How this is delivered is still in the works.
To be honest, I lost a few thousand dollars making OI, OII, & OIII. But like I keep telling myself, it wasn’t about making money but rather finishing a dream. I mean, I keep telling myself that but it might have been nice to have made a bit of money.
This is one of the reasons why this one will not be a Kickstarter.
I have a number of scenes I can now add in this novel that I couldn’t add in any of the Occultation stories. Occultation was long enough and changing attitudes regarding violence and sex keep changing. I had removed some very violent scenes to save pages, time, and money before even starting on Occultation II. (The first to be released).
The NMO will be completely different than the Occultation novels. Meaning, it will be much easier to do as I won’t be considering hidden details, subliminal imagery or double meanings.
